Eight one-hour talks by professionals who volunteer to share their experience with people looking for work. The talks are in Spanish, and all of them can be watched afterwards on the Red Cross YouTube channel, where you can turn on subtitles and choose your language.

Intercultural skills and strategies to fight disinformation

Practical training to identify hate crimes and disinformation in the media and on social networks, work on intercultural skills and build community networks to resolve conflicts. Active participation is required. The course is taught in Spanish.

Programme
  1. Module 1 · Understanding diversity and interculturalityMonday, 17:00–20:00 (3 hours)Aim: Understand the key concepts of cultural diversity, interculturality, inclusion, racism and discrimination, and how they help to interpret real situations.
  2. Module 2 · Racism, discrimination, inequality and exclusionTuesday, 17:00–20:00 (3 hours)Aim: Analyse the social and historical construction of racism and white privilege, using an intersectional lens to understand how different forms of discrimination and inequality interact.
  3. Module 3 · Taking a stand and building responsesTime to be confirmedAim: Tell apart facts, beliefs, hoaxes, discriminatory speech and hate speech or hate crimes, within specific social contexts.
  4. Module 4 · Community actionThursday, 17:00–20:00Aim: Design and apply practical strategies with an intercultural, sector-based, community and human rights approach, adapted to different fields of action.
